How do you know what my style is, or what I like?
We get to know you and your taste through the lifestyle questionnaire and the inspiration images that you send us. The more detailed you are, the better.
What does the Blueprint fee include?
The Blueprint fee covers the design of your room – the time it takes to create your personalized plans including a furniture plan, and elevations, color scheme, lighting, furnishings and fabric options. The fee also includes the package that will arrive at your home filled with design samples, sketches and instructions.
Does the Blueprint fee include the furnishings that you choose for me?
No, the Blueprint design fee does not include the cost of any of the products or furnishings that are suggested to you. You will be responsible for purchasing any and all products on your own, and the beauty of the Blueprint is that you will have the ability to purchase as you choose – all at once or over time.
How do you know what my budget is?
You will let us know an approximate budget when you fill out our design and lifestyle questionnaire. Again, you will be in charge of purchasing each item, so ultimately the budget is in your hands, and it’s simply a way for us to gauge appropriate vendors for you to shop with.
Can you accommodate an eco-friendly design?
Yes, we love the planet too! We’re happy to work with Mother Nature. Please let us know on the design and lifestyle questionnaire that you would like a green room.
Will I hear from you during the design process?
Once we have reviewed everything you’ve submitted for your Blueprint, we’ll give you a call or send an email with questions if we need clarification on anything. We may be in touch with you during the design process if needed, and if you need to reach us, you can always send an email.
When do I pay for my Blueprint?
Payment is due after you submit your measurements, inspiration images and questionnaire. We can’t get started on your Blueprint until we have your payment in full.
How long will it take for me to receive my Blueprint?
You will receive your Blueprint package approximately 4-6 weeks after you’ve submitted all of your information.
Can you reuse any of my existing furniture?
We will certainly try! We are happy to incorporate any furniture or accessories that you upload in the Blueprint section of the site. We may recommend re-finishing a table, or reupholstering a sofa, if needed, but please be sure to send us photos and measurements of anything you’d like us to try to keep in the room.
Where will you source the furnishings for my room?
We will source all furnishings either online or local to you, however we can’t be held accountable if an item is backordered or discontinued.
How do I know that the furniture you choose will fit in my room?
We take care of all of the space planning and design the layout of the room, but it’s crucial that you send us an accurate floor plan and measurements of the room. We cannot be held responsible for mistakes made measuring. In addition, we highly recommend re-measuring before you actually purchase a particular piece of furniture.
What if I have questions after I receive my Blueprint?
One thirty minute follow up call is included with your Blueprint package, should you want us to walk you through your design or answer any questions after you’ve received it. Any additional follow up phone calls will be billed at our hourly rate of $175/hour.
What if I don’t like my Blueprint?
While we hope you love everything we design for you, we understand that we may need to revise a few things. We can re-specify up to three elements in each room.
Who exactly will be designing my Blueprint?
Virginia and Jessica will be the lead designers for your personal Blueprint, just as they lead all projects for id 810 design group clients.
What if I want to purchase another room after I receive my Blueprint?
We hope you do! We keep records of your Blueprint so we will be able to make sure the new room we design will flow with the room you’ve already received a Blueprint for. However, you will need to go through the same process of measuring the room, uploading photos of the room, and completing our lifestyle questionnaire, as the space will have a different layout and function.
Can I purchase Blueprint as a gift for someone?
Yes, Blueprint gift certificates make a great present – just add the room you wish to purchase as a gift to the shopping cart and check the box noting that this is a gift.
